Calico Petals 

I can't remember a time when I didn't make things. Not only has it been my livlihood for most of my life, but also a sweet opportunity to carry out my passsion for creating.

I  have always been inspired by days gone by ideas, and I'm partiularly fond of 1920's era and styles. Most of my designs are from that period in time.

I'm also the proprietress of a small soap milling company called Bittersweet. For over ten years I have mixed, poured, cut and sold thousands of bars of my hand milled soaps. They have been featured on Home and Garden Television and included in the goody bags at such events as the Emmy's and American Music Awards.

I had a brick and mortar shop for over five years where I sold over one-hundred of my hand made items. 

After five years of managing and operating my retail store, I decided to focus my attention towards my passion, creating. Although retail life was very rewarding, I had little time to create new things.

My hand made creations are unique and special and are found exclusively at Calico Petals, and my sister site Bittersweet, as well as selected shops and boutiques. I prefer a soulful personal approach to marketing, and discourage my products being mass produced.
